Citizens Bank Announces Additions to Board of Directors

January 28, 2026 - Kristin Ferge and John Thornton have been named to the board of directors of Citizens Bank, the bank recently announced. The additions come with the retirements of two longtime directors, each with over 10 years of service to the bank.

Ferge is the president and chief financial officer of Capri Communities, an operator of several senior living communities in Wisconsin. Her holistic understanding of operations and sustainable growth has directly contributed to Capri’s growth. Since she joined Capri in 2016, the company’s revenue has grown significantly through acquisitions and new developments. Ferge, a CPA, received a BS in Accounting from Marquette University and a MS in Healthcare Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She also serves on the board of directors for NeurAxis, Inc. and Habitat for Humanity Waukesha-Jefferson-Rock.

“I’m honored to accept the opportunity to serve on the board of Citizens Bank,” Ferge said. “The bank plays a vital role in supporting local businesses, families, and economic growth. I look forward to contributing my experience to help guide the bank’s long-term strategy, governance, and commitment to the communities it serves."

Thornton is president of GS Global Resources, a Mukwonago-based manufacturer of custom-engineered hydraulics, electronic controls, and mechanical systems for original equipment manufacturers. He joined the company in 1997 and purchased it in 2002. Under his leadership, GS Global has experienced robust growth by introducing new product and technology applications into various markets. Thornton received a BBA in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. A native of Mukwonago, he remains very active in the community and serves as the president of the MHS Athletic Booster Club.

“It is a privilege to be appointed to the Citizens Bank board of directors,” Thronton said. “I am eager to collaborate with the talented leadership team to advance the bank’s mission. This role represents a powerful opportunity to deepen my commitment to the community through the work of Citizens Bank and deliver meaningful, lasting impact.”

Charles O. Miller, Jr., chairman of Citizens Bank, added: “We are delighted to add Kristin and John to our board of directors. They continue our tradition of adding professionals who are leaders in their industries and in the community. They bring a wealth of knowledge to help guide the bank and will be advocates for the bank, our employees, and our shareholders.”

In December, director Cheryl Sment retired following 11 years on the board. Warren Hansen, Jr. will retire in June 2026 following 19 years as a director.
